The office is located on A.A Road in Kumarghat, right by the Bimal Sinha Shopping Complex. It is part of Ranjit Kumar Das’s property, so it has that local feel to it. Most mornings, we start by opening the shutters and letting some air in from the street. Unakoti can get pretty humid, so the ceiling fans are almost always going. There is a lot of movement outside with people heading to the shopping complex. We have some desks set up and the space is mostly functional. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, but that is just how things are here in North Tripura. People walk in from the nearby areas to ask things. It is not a very fancy place, just some rooms where we get our work done. We usually have tea brought in from the stall down the road twice a day. The address is quite long on paper but once you are in Kumarghat, it is easy to find the building. We have been here for a while now, seeing the traffic on A.A Road grow busier every year. The walls are painted a plain color and we keep our files stacked on some metal racks in the corner. It is a simple setup for the team here. We spend a lot of time just managing the daily tasks and talking to whoever drops by.
