Our location is 28/45 in Shri Shiddheshwar Nagar, which is out near Post Hirebevanur. It’s a bit of a distance from the bigger towns, nestled in an area where you see a lot of agriculture. Being a sugar company, we are tied closely to the land and the local farmers. The site at 28/45 is where the main operations happen. It’s a big facility because you need a lot of room for the cane and the processing units. During the crushing season, the place is incredibly busy. You can smell the sugar in the air from a mile away. There are tractors and trucks lined up all along the road waiting to drop off their loads. It can get pretty messy with all the mud and the plant material, but that’s just the nature of the sugar business. The office part is just a few rooms with basic furniture where we handle the accounts and the farmer payments. It’s a lot of paperwork. We’ve been part of the Hirebevanur area for years. Most of the people working here are from the nearby villages. It’s not a high-tech corporate environment; it’s a gritty, hardworking place.
