Up here in the Nilgiris, things move a bit slower, which we like. Our branch is on Gore House Road in Kotagiri. It’s a beautiful area with all the greenery around us. The building is at number 32/109. We have a small staff because it’s not a huge town. Most days involve helping neighbors with their banking needs. We see a lot of tea estate workers and local shop owners. It’s a quiet life compared to the big cities. Sometimes the weather gets really misty and we can barely see the road outside. We just keep the lights on and keep working. We aren't fancy people. We wear our sweaters when it gets cold and we drink a lot of tea. The bank is just a place where we help folks keep their savings safe. We don't have those big digital screens or anything flashy. It’s just desks, chairs, and computers. We know the history of the families around here. It’s a tight-knit community. We try to be helpful without making things complicated. If the power goes out, we just wait for the generator. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. It feels like a part of the landscape. We don't need a lot of praise, we just want to do a solid day's work for the people of Kotagiri. It’s a good place to be, and we are happy to stay here for the long run.
