Pratik Traders

You can find Pratik Traders at No. 222/A in Koddatamund, which is up here in the Ooty district. Being in the hills means the weather is often cold and misty. Our shop is a bit small and we have to keep the doors closed sometimes to keep the chill out. We trade in various local goods that are common in this part of the district. The shelves are mostly made of old wood and they groan a bit under the weight of the supplies. I usually wear a heavy sweater while I work behind the counter. We don't have many people working here, just me and a helper. Most of our customers are locals who have lived in Koddatamund for a long time. They stop in to get what they need and usually stay for a quick chat about the weather or the local news. Sometimes the mountain roads make it hard for our new stock to arrive on time. We just wait it out and tell the customers to come back the next day. It is a slow-paced life compared to the big cities. We don't have any bright lights or big signs. It is just a simple place to buy and sell things. The floor is made of old stone and it stays cold all year round. We just keep doing our daily work.
