We are located at 182 B, Rajalakshmi Nilayam, which is right on Havelock Road in Ooty. It’s a bit different working for Jsw Steel up here in the hills compared to the big industrial plants in the plains. For one thing, it’s much colder. Most mornings we are wearing sweaters and drinking hot coffee just to get moving. Bandishola is a nice enough area, and the building feels more like a house than a big corporate headquarters. We have some office space here where we handle the paperwork and the local coordination. It’s not a huge team at this specific spot. We deal with whatever comes across our desks for the Tamil Nadu region. The air is thin and crisp, which is a nice change if you've spent time at the bigger steel sites. We don't have a lot of fancy signs or a huge lobby. It’s just a place where we get the work done. People walk by on their way to the shops, and sometimes tourists look lost and ask for directions. We’ve been at this address for a bit now, and everyone knows where the Rajalakshmi building is. It feels more like a community hub than a cold office. We keep things simple, focus on our tasks, and try to finish before the evening mist rolls in. It’s a steady kind of life here in the mountains, even if the steel business is busy elsewhere.
