Our office is over on Governor Shola Road, which is right near the Fernhill Palace in Ooty. It’s a nice area, usually a bit cooler than the plains. Space 4 Hospitality Management Pvt. Ltd. is basically us managing things for visitors and hotels. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different properties. Ooty gets really crowded during the tourist season, so that's when we are busiest. The road near Fernhill Palace is pretty, but it gets blocked with cars and buses sometimes. We’ve got a small space where we keep our files and meet up to plan the week. It’s not a big corporate headquarters with glass walls. It’s just a practical office where we can sit down and drink some tea while we figure out the staff schedules. We deal with a lot of different people, from cleaners to property owners. There’s always something breaking or a guest who needs something extra at the last minute. We just try to handle it without making a big fuss. Working in hospitality in a hill station means you have to be ready for anything, especially when the weather turns rainy. We’ve been at this for a bit now and we know the local area quite well. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure everyone is where they should be. It keeps us on our feet most of the day.
