Satish Pulses

Down in Tehsil Nilanga, things move a bit slower than in the big cities, and that’s how we like it at Satish Pulses. Our work revolves around the seasons and what the farmers are bringing in from the fields. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy bags of pulses around and making sure they are stored properly. The air always smells a bit like dry grain and dust, which is just part of the job when you’re dealing with this kind of volume. We don't have a fancy office or any high-tech gadgets; we just have our scales, our bags, and our hands. Satish is usually around, keeping an eye on everything and making sure the sorting is being done right. The weather in Nilanga can be tough, especially when it’s dry and the wind kicks up the dirt, but we’ve all been living here long enough to not mind it much. We spend our days talking to the locals and managing the intake of the harvest. It’s a honest kind of work that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We don't have a mission statement or a big marketing plan. We just want to get the pulses processed and sent out to where they need to go. If the machines break, we fix them ourselves. If a bag rips, we sew it up. It’s just how life is out here in the tehsil, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
