Kamal Tea Centre

You can find us in Nilanga village, right near the court. It’s a pretty quiet area most of the time, except when there are a lot of people heading to the court for their business. We started this tea centre as a small local thing. It's a simple place with just the essentials. We spend our days dealing with the local tea trade around the Tehsil. The building is a bit older and we’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times. It’s not a polished showroom; it’s more of a working space where we store and sort through what we have. Most people who come by are locals from the village or people passing through on their way to the court. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. Usually, we open up early and stay until the sun goes down. It gets a bit dusty in the summer months, but that's just part of living in the village. We keep our notes in handwritten ledgers mostly. It’s just the way we’ve always done it. There isn't much more to it than that. We are just a local bunch of people selling tea in a place we know well. We don't need any big plans to keep things moving along every day.
