We’ve been here at No:7 in the Nadar Complex for a while now. If you know Nilakkottai, you know it gets quite busy around here during the day. Most mornings start with unlocking the shutters and moving a few stacks of parts around so there’s room to walk. It’s not a huge place, but we keep a lot of stuff on the shelves. People come in looking for specific bolts or filters for their vehicles, and sometimes they aren't even sure what they need. We spend a lot of time looking through old catalogues or just matching things up by sight. It gets a bit dusty with all the metal and rubber sitting around. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat while they wait for a part to be found in the back. The tea stall nearby keeps us going. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just rows of boxes and the smell of oil and new tires. Sometimes the delivery trucks arrive late and we have to stay a bit longer to get everything put away. It's just how the days go in this part of town. Most of our regulars are local mechanics who know exactly where everything is kept. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many small components, something always ends up where it shouldn't be. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are standing at the counter at once.
