If you look for Door No. 12-9-12 in Roypeta, that is where you will find us. We have been operating Pragallapati Appalaraju & Sons from this same spot in Roypeta for quite some time now. It is a family thing, passed down, and we just keep at it. The street can be a bit narrow for the bigger trucks, but we manage to get them in and out somehow. Most of our day is spent handling the orders and making sure the slabs are ready for whoever bought them. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It's just us at the shop. The building shows its age a bit, but it does what we need it to do. We have some tools for finishing the edges and a bit of space for storage. People in Roypeta know where we are. Sometimes neighbors drop by just to chat while we are working. We try to keep things moving so we don't fall behind. The stone is heavy, so the work is slow and steady. We just take it one day at a time. If the power goes out, we have to stop the machines, but usually, we are busy from morning till night. It's a basic business, nothing more than that. We just focus on the stone and making sure the measurements are right.
