Our shop is tucked away in Shri Radha Krishna Market in Dilshad Garden. If you’re looking for 488/4/3, it’s near the main road but can be easy to miss if you’re driving too fast. We spend most of the day working on cars, specifically gas conversions and repairs. There is always a bit of grease on the floor and the tools are scattered around the workbenches. It gets pretty crowded in the morning when everyone wants their vehicle checked at the same time. I usually have a couple of guys helping me out, and we’re usually elbows deep in an engine bay. The market itself is quite lively, with people buying groceries and other bits nearby. I keep a small bench for customers to sit on, but most of them just stand around and watch us work or go get a snack while they wait. The summer heat is the worst part because the metal of the cars gets so hot you can barely touch it. We keep a fan going, but it mostly just moves the warm air around. We’ve been in Dilshad Garden for a long time now, so we know most of the car owners in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it’s what we do. Sometimes parts are delayed, and we have to explain that to frustrated people, which is never fun. By the time we wash up at night, we're all pretty exhausted.
