Shree Ram Enterprises

Wazirpur is a loud place. Every morning when I open the shutters at C-4/2, the sound of the nearby factories already fills the air. It’s been this way for a long time. Shree Ram Enterprises isn’t some fancy showroom with glass walls. It’s a workplace where we spend most of our day dealing with metal and machinery. The floor is usually a bit dusty and there are stacks of material waiting to be moved. We have a small table where we sit for lunch and talk about the weather or how the traffic was coming in today. Some days are slow and we just sit around waiting for a delivery truck that’s stuck in some narrow lane nearby. Other days are a total mess with three things happening at once. We handle what comes our way without much fuss. If you walk past our unit in the Wazirpur Industrial Area, you’ll probably see someone loading a tempo or just the light from our welding machine. There isn't much to say about us that isn't just about the work we do. We’ve had the same tea guy coming by for years, and his tea is sometimes too sweet, but it keeps us going in the afternoons. It’s a regular life here, nothing like what you see in movies. We just keep the machines running and try to get the orders out before the sun goes down. We've got grease on our hands and a lot on our minds, but that's just part of the job.
