You can find us over at 21/5 in Dilshad Garden. We have got these old glass shelves full of the usual biscuits and some local sweets that we bring in every couple of days. This is a busy neighborhood and we see the same faces every single morning when they come by for their daily snacks or bread. I spend a lot of my time just organizing the jars and making sure the wrappers on the candies look tidy enough. Sometimes the supply truck is late because of the traffic and we have to tell our regulars to come back in an hour. That is just how things go around here. We keep some cold drinks in a fridge at the back that hums quite loudly. My cousin comes in to help me during the evening rush when everyone is heading back from work and wants something sweet for their kids. The floor is old and a bit cracked in the corners but we sweep it twice a day to keep the dust down. It is a very simple shop. People mostly come in for a quick packet of chips or maybe some loose candy. We do not have any fancy lights or big glowing signs out front. Just a plain board with the name on it. It gets quiet in the afternoons when it is hot, but the noise picks up again once the sun goes down. We just keep the front door open and wait for the next person to walk in.
