Cake Buddies

My friend and I started Cake Buddies right here in Vikas Puri because we both have a real love for baking. It’s not a fancy or big place at all. Mostly we just spend our time dealing with cakes and some small snacks for the neighborhood. We spend many hours every day in the kitchen trying to get the sponge just right for the orders. Some days are really busy, especially during the wedding season or when several people have a birthday at once. We don't have a giant staff here, it's just a few of us doing everything from mixing to cleaning. We use basic ingredients you would find in any home kitchen. It gets pretty hot in the back when the ovens are going, but we are used to it by now. People often stop by on their way home from work to pick something up for their families. We don’t have a big seating area or any air conditioning in the front. It is just a small shop where we keep the ovens running as much as we can. Sometimes the frosting gets everywhere and the floor is a bit sticky. We try to keep things simple and honest. If you are looking for something sweet, we are usually around from morning till late evening. We have been in this Vikas Puri neighborhood for a long time now. Most local people know where to find us. We don’t bother with advertising much and just let our baking speak for itself.
