You have to head up to the first floor on Prehlad Street to find us. Daryaganj is always a bit of a maze, especially with all the traffic on Ansari Road. Ved Gupta & Company has been in this spot for quite a while. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, but once you’re inside, it’s a lot quieter than the street outside. Our office is filled with stacks of paper and old ledgers. It’s the kind of place where everyone has their own desk piled high with files. We don't use much fancy technology here; we still like our paper records and physical folders. The rooms have high ceilings and those old-style fans that click as they spin. Most of our day is spent talking to people on the phone or writing out notes. There’s always someone coming in or out with a delivery or a question. We know the tea seller down the street by name because he comes by a few times a day. It’s a busy environment but in a very traditional way. We don't go in for big displays or modern furniture. Everything here is functional and has been here for years. It’s a reliable place where we just get the daily tasks done without much fuss. We like the rhythm of this neighborhood and how things stay the same even as the city changes around us.
