Varuna Roadlines (P) Ltd

Over here at Varuna Roadlines, the focus is mostly on trucks coming in and out of the Uttam Nagar area. D/28 in Vishwas Park is our office location, which can be a bit of a squeeze when the bigger vehicles try to navigate the local lanes during the day. It’s usually pretty dusty and loud around here, especially when the Delhi sun is beating down on the roof and the traffic is backed up. Drivers check in at all hours, showing their logs and asking about the next route they need to take. Paperwork takes up a lot of our time, more than you’d expect in this business. We sit at the wooden desks, marking down where the loads are heading and checking fuel receipts before the trucks leave. There’s always tea being made in the corner because you can’t really run a place like this without plenty of it. No shiny brochures or big reception areas are found here. It’s just us, some sturdy stools, and the sound of constant horns outside. Sometimes a delivery gets delayed because of the heavy traffic on the main road, but that’s just life in Delhi. Moving as fast as we can is the goal, but mistakes happen. Most of the guys working here have been around for years, so we know the shortcuts and which roads to avoid. It’s a straightforward operation for anyone needing road transport. We just get on with the job.
