Ushetel

Ushetel is located at No. A-28 in the Flatted Factory Complex in Phase-3, Okhla. Working in a flatted factory means we have neighbors above and below us, so there is always some noise coming through the walls or the ceiling during the day. It is a very industrial setting with a lot of movement in the corridors and people moving goods. We have a decent amount of space for our equipment and the small team we have here. The elevators in this complex are the big, heavy industrial kind, and they move pretty slowly, so we often just take the stairs if we are not carrying anything heavy. Inside our unit, it is mostly functional furniture and shelves filled with telecom components. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls, just some calendars and maybe a few notes taped near the phones. The windows are high up, so we do not see much of the outside world during the day, but they let in enough natural light for us. We usually bring our own lunches from home and eat together at the big wooden table in the middle. It is a straightforward way of working. The phone lines are always busy, and there is a constant hum from the server rack in the corner. Sometimes the courier guys get lost finding the specific unit in this big complex, so we end up going down to meet them at the main gate. We stay busy and keep at it because there is always something to do.
