Upkar Packers

You can find our place at 4/65 in Ramesh Nagar, going by the name Upkar Packers. It’s a pretty cramped spot, but it works for what we do. We’re in the packing business, so the whole place is usually overflowing with cardboard boxes, rolls of tape, and old newspapers. It’s not the kind of office where you’d want to wear your best clothes. There’s usually a bit of a mess, and things are always being moved around to make room for new shipments. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or a salesperson. Usually, it’s just one of us answering the phone and writing down addresses in a notebook. We’ve been in Ramesh Nagar for years now. We know the local shopkeepers and the way the traffic flows through the narrow streets. The work is mostly physical, so we spend a lot of time on our feet. We don’t have a big corporate philosophy. We just pack things up and try to make sure nothing breaks. Sometimes the truck won’t start in the morning, which can be a real pain, but we usually figure it out. We take our breaks at the small stall down the road. It’s a very basic operation. We don’t try to act bigger than we are. We’re just a local packing crew that stays busy with whatever comes our way. If you walk by, you’ll probably see us loading up a van or folding boxes on the sidewalk.
