United Glass Company

We are over here at No. 1102 in Bazar Paiwalan, which is right by Jama Masjid. It is a very busy spot and sometimes the noise from the market gets a bit loud inside the shop. We have been working with glass for quite some time now. Mostly we just spend our days cutting sheets to the right size or talking to people who walk in looking for a specific type of pane for their windows at home. The area is old and the streets are very narrow, so getting the big glass deliveries in can be a real headache some mornings. We usually have to wait for the traffic to clear up before we can move much glass into the back. It is not a fancy place, just a regular shop with glass offcuts and tools scattered around. People know us because we have been in this same spot for a while. Sometimes the dust from the street gets on everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the surfaces so customers can actually see what they are buying. It is just how things go around here near the masjid. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the material without breaking it. Glass is tricky stuff and you have to be careful every single day or you end up with a mess and a cut hand. We just keep at it, day in and day out.
