Being in an industrial area means things are always moving. There are trucks, laborers, and plenty of noise. Our space is quite large because of the plot size. It’s more of a warehouse feel than a fancy office. We deal with all sorts of merchandise. The floors are concrete and there is a lot of dust that comes in from the industrial activity nearby. We don’t mind it much. It’s just the environment we work in. We have a lot of shelving and pallets for the merchandise. The office part is just a small section with some old wooden desks and chairs. We spend our time counting stock and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a lot of physical work, especially when the weather is hot. We drink a lot of water and keep the ceiling fans on high. It’s not the kind of place you’d go for a fancy meeting, but it works for us. We’ve been at Lawrence Road for a while and we know the rhythms of the area. It’s a gritty, hardworking part of town, and our business fits right in with the surrounding warehouses and factories. We just keep moving the stock every day.
