Our office for Birla Ericsson Optical Ltd. is on the 4th floor of the Uco Bank Building on Parliament Street. It’s a very busy part of the city, and you can always hear the horns and the general hum of the crowd from up here. Being in an older building means the elevators are sometimes a bit slow, but we don't mind the wait most days. The office itself is full of desks, old filing cabinets, and a lot of technical manuals. We deal with optical equipment and cables, so there are always pieces of wire and strange tools lying around. We aren't a flashy tech company with bean bags or game rooms. It’s just a standard office where we sit at our computers and handle our tasks. We've been at this location for many years, so the carpet is a bit worn in places and the furniture is definitely not new. We have a small pantry where we make tea and talk about the news. The staff here is a small group and we've all worked together for a long time, so we know each other's habits. We don't spend money on fancy signage or marketing. Most of our work is through old contacts and regular business channels. It’s a steady environment where we just get through the daily grind. When the day ends, we all head down to the street and join the rush.
