Our office is up on the eighth floor of the Krishna Apra building in Netaji Subhash Place. We occupy units 812 through 815. If you know Pitampura, you know it is a pretty packed area with a lot of businesses squeezed together in the District Centre. Being here means there is always something happening outside the window. We deal with electronics at Tomen, mostly handling the distribution and the technical side of things for the Indian market. It is not like a shop where you walk in and browse. It is more of a hub for coordinating sales and support. The office is usually full of boxes and electronic components waiting to be sent out or checked by the team. We have a small group of engineers and office staff. It gets pretty cramped sometimes when a big shipment arrives and we have to find space for everything. We do not have a fancy reception area or a coffee bar. We just have a kettle in the corner and our desks. Everyone here pretty much knows everyone else’s business since we are in such close quarters. It is a busy atmosphere but we like it that way. Most of the time we are busy with emails or testing parts. The view from the eighth floor is alright, though we do not spend much time looking out the windows. We are just trying to get the orders right and make sure everything is compatible. It is basic, honest work in a busy part of Delhi.
