The All India Glass Manufacturer'S Federation

Our office is on the eighth floor of New Delhi House, which is one of those old-school buildings on Barakhamba Road. Being part of The All India Glass Manufacturer'S Federation means we spend a lot of time dealing with various people from the glass industry. It is not like a factory where things are being made right there. Instead, it is a lot of meetings, stacks of paper, and phone calls. Barakhamba Road is always busy with people in suits and street food vendors right outside the gate. We have a view of the city, but mostly we are just looking at files or planning the next industry gathering. The office feels a bit lived-in with old wooden desks and shelves full of glass samples from different members. We aren't a big corporate firm with fancy lobbies. We are just a group of people who keep the records and help the different glass plants stay connected. Sometimes it gets a bit quiet when everyone is out on field visits, and other times the office is packed with people talking at once. We drink a lot of coffee from the nearby stalls and try to keep up with all the letters and emails. It’s a steady pace of work in the heart of Delhi, and we have been in this building for a long time now, watching the city change outside.
