TC Components India is tucked away in the basement at 4574/15 on Padam Chand Marg in Darya Ganj. It’s an old part of the city, and the streets are always full of life, cars, and people selling books. Being in the basement means we don't have any windows to look out of, but it keeps the place relatively cool when the Delhi summer hits its peak. We have to keep the fluorescent lights on all day, which gives the place a bit of a workshop feel. We deal with all kinds of components here. Our desks are usually buried under piles of inventory lists and small plastic bags of parts. It’s not a large space, so things can get a bit cluttered when we are busy. We don't have a fancy entrance or a lounge for visitors. You just come down the stairs and you’re right in the middle of our workspace. We take our breaks together and usually talk about the local news or the traffic on the way in. Darya Ganj is a bit rough around the edges, but we like the character of the place. The building is old, and you can hear the rumble of the traffic from the street above. We aren't here to impress anyone with a shiny office. We just want to do our work properly and make sure the components are sorted and ready to go. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of environment for us.
