Our business is located at Wz - 19 in Gali No. 11 in Anand Parvat. This is a very old and crowded part of New Delhi where the streets are so thin that cars can barely pass each other. We work with aluminum components, so there is a lot of silver-colored dust and metal shavings on our clothes and the floor. The machines we use make a lot of noise, and you can hear them from the street. It gets incredibly hot inside during the summer months because the ventilation isn't great. We just keep the fans running and try to stay hydrated. We have been in this gali for many years and know all the neighbors. Most of what we do is manual labor, cutting and shaping the metal into the parts that are needed. We don't have an office or a place to sit down, just the work area where the components are stacked in crates. The walls are stained from years of production, and the lighting is just a few flickering tubes. We don't have a sign on the door, just the address painted on the wall. It is a tough environment but we are used to it by now. We just get the work done and send the parts out to the people who need them. It is a small but steady operation in the heart of the city.
