If you go out to Vill-Bhatkhuri in the Khurda district, you’ll find us there working away at Synergy Freight Ways. It’s a bit of a rural spot, so you mostly see fields and small houses until you get to our gate. We have a decent sized area where the trucks can park up while they wait for their orders. Most of the people working here live just a short walk or bike ride away from the office. We handle the freight that moves through this part of Odisha, which means a lot of coordination with people in other states too. It’s a lot of back-and-forth on the phone, sometimes shouting to be heard over the sound of a diesel engine idling nearby. We don't have fancy carpets or air conditioning that works all the time, but we have enough tea and good conversation to get through the shift. The work is honest and straightforward. We load the trucks, we tell the drivers which way to go, and we hope the roads are clear. Sometimes things go wrong, like a flat tire or a late delivery, and we just deal with it as it comes. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or promises. We just want to make sure the cargo gets moved and the drivers get home safe. It’s just how life goes in Bhatkhuri for us.
