Sukhija Nursing Home

Our place, Sukhija Nursing Home, is over at B-128 in Vivek Vihar. It’s a building that has seen a lot of people come and go over the years. We have different rooms for people who need to stay over for a bit. It’s not like those big corporate hospitals you see in the movies; it feels more like a house that’s been turned into a clinic. We have nurses moving around the halls and the smell of cleaning supplies is usually pretty strong. Vivek Vihar is a decent area and we are glad to be tucked away on this street. The rooms are basic but they have what’s necessary for someone to rest and get better. We get a lot of elderly folks from the neighborhood who trust us because we’ve been here so long. There is always a bit of noise from the street, but that’s just Delhi for you. We don't have a huge staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. Sometimes I am checking people in and other times I am helping move equipment around. We try to keep the atmosphere calm, even when it’s a busy morning with lots of check-ups. The gate at B-128 is usually open during the day for visitors. It’s just our way of life here, looking after the people who come to us. We’ve been part of this community in the 110095 zip code for quite a while now and do not plan on changing.
