Suji Garments

My name isn't really on the sign out front, but I have been running Suji Garments for quite a while now. We are tucked away at A- 33 Panchsheel Garden. It is a quiet spot, mostly families living around here, which makes it a nice place to come to work every day. I started this because I just liked making clothes that fit right and didn't fall apart after one wash. We spend most of our mornings sorting through rolls of cloth and making sure the machines are oiled. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late, but that is just how things go. We do not have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. People often ask if we can do this or that, and usually, if it involves a needle and thread, we can handle it. Most of our neighbors know us by now. We don't spend money on big ads because the work speaks for itself when someone picks up their order. It gets a bit dusty in the afternoons when the sun hits the floor, but we keep the fans going. It is a simple life here in the garden area. We focus on getting the stitching straight and making sure the zippers don't catch. If you walk past A- 33, you’ll probably hear the hum of the machines through the door. It’s a steady sound that means we are busy.
