Sugam Group

Our office is at 43, First Floor, on Lekh Ram Road in Daryaganj. If you’ve ever been to Daryaganj, you know it’s one of those places where history and chaos live right next to each other. The streets are narrow, and there’s always the smell of street food and old paper in the air. We are part of the Sugam Group. Our office isn't anything special to look at—just some sturdy desks, a few old cupboards for files, and a lot of movement. We deal with a variety of things, mostly related to transport and logistics. Daryaganj is a hub for the book trade, so we see a lot of activity around us every day. The stairs up to our floor are a bit steep and the lighting in the hallway isn't the best, but once you’re inside, it’s a busy hive. We have people coming in and out all day with receipts and delivery notes. We don't really do the whole corporate culture thing. It’s more about sitting down, drinking a glass of water, and sorting out the day’s problems. We’ve been here for years, so we know all the neighbors and the best places to get a quick tea. It’s a bit of a squeeze when we have meetings, but we make it work. It feels like a real part of Delhi here. Every morning someone has to sweep the dust from the road off the front step, and by noon it’s back again. That’s just life in this part of town.
