Star Elastics & Tape Co.

Our shop is at 146 D B Road in Karol Bagh. It’s right across from P P Jewellers, which is a big landmark around here. If you’ve ever been to Karol Bagh, you know it’s crowded and loud almost every single day. Star Elastics & Tape Co. has been in this spot for a long time. We have rolls of tape and elastic piled up everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess to be honest, but we know where everything is. The shop is small and can get quite hot in the summer months because the street is so narrow and there isn't much breeze. We serve a lot of local tailors and small factories. They just come in, grab what they need, and head out. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people knowing we are here. My family has been doing this for years. We open early and stay late until the market starts to quiet down. Sometimes we sit on stools outside the front door just to catch a bit of air. It’s a hard way to make a living but it’s what we know. There’s no fancy furniture or air conditioning inside. It’s just a place of business. We talk to the neighbors, drink a lot of tea, and keep the stock moving as best as we can. It's a tight squeeze in here but we make do with what we have.
