You can find us at Jamia Nagar 167/8. Star Coatings has been our life for quite some time. The walls here are covered in different paint swatches because we’re always testing things out. It smells like chemicals and fresh paint most mornings, which you get used to after a week or two. We aren't a massive factory, just a local spot where we mix things up and get the colors right. It gets messy. There are spills on the floor that have been there for years and they aren't going anywhere. We talk to people who come in needing their gates or walls protected. It’s practical work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just look at what needs a coat of something and we find the right stuff for it. The shop is a bit cramped with all the drums and cans stacked up. Sometimes we struggle to find the specific lid we need. It’s just how it goes when you’re busy. Jamia Nagar is a busy place, and we fit right in with the noise and the hustle. We take our time with the mixing because if you rush it, the color comes out wrong. Nobody wants that. We’re just here every day, opening up early and staying until the work is finished. It’s a simple living and we’re okay with that. Sometimes the sun hits the shop front just right and you can see all the dust motes dancing around the paint cans.
