Smh - Curie Cancer Centre

Working at Smh - Curie Cancer Centre on Vikas Marg Extn is a different kind of pace. We are located at 2 - Institutional Cancer Centre, which is a bit of a mouthful to say over the phone. Most people just look for the big institutional area. It is a serious place, given what we do here, but we try to keep things grounded. The building itself is sturdy and sits right there in the extension. People travel from all over to find us, so we spend a lot of time giving directions over the phone. Vikas Marg is always crowded, especially during the commute hours. Inside Smh - Curie Cancer Centre, it’s a bit quieter than the street outside. We have our routines and the doctors are always moving from one room to another. It’s not one of those shiny new corporate hospitals; it feels more like a place where real work happens every day. The hallways are wide and we’ve got all the usual medical equipment tucked away in the back rooms. We see a lot of families coming through the doors, often looking a bit tired. We just try to get them through the paperwork and to their appointments without too much fuss. Being part of the Institutional Cancer Centre means there is a lot of shared space and other buildings nearby too. It's just a regular part of our daily lives here in this corner of Delhi. The mornings usually start with checking the new patient files.
