You can find us in the basement over at Plot No-B/42/B in Kalkaji. We are right near the Big Dragon Restaurant, so if you smell food, you’re probably close. Skk Paints and Architectural Coatings is where we spend our time. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice. We have cans of paint stacked up everywhere and samples of different textures on the walls. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful where we walk. We work with a lot of contractors and people looking to fix up their houses. We talk about colors and how different coatings will hold up in the weather. We usually have a bit of dust on our shoes from the warehouse floor. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the products and a desk where we handle the bills. Sometimes we go over to the restaurant for lunch. The neighborhood is pretty active, and there’s always something going on in the street. We’ve been here for a while and most of the locals know where to find us. We just focus on keeping the stock levels right and making sure we have the right mix of materials for whatever project comes our way. It’s a straightforward job. We have some old catalogs sitting on a metal table for people to flip through while they wait for their orders to be brought out.
