Shri Gir Raj Pooja Vastu Bhandar

Our shop, Shri Gir Raj Pooja Vastu Bhandar, is located at 4621/1 in Dipti Ganj, which is part of the larger Sadar Bazar area. We carry all the things people need for their daily prayers and religious ceremonies. From incense sticks to small brass statues, the shelves are pretty much overflowing. It smells like sandalwood and jasmine most of the time, which is nice compared to the exhaust fumes outside. The shop isn't very big, so we have to use every inch of the walls to hang things up. People come here from all over because they know we usually have those specific items that are hard to find. We aren't corporate at all; it’s just a family-run thing where we know our regulars by their first names. Sometimes we sit out front on a stool when it's slow and just watch the people go by. It’s a very busy market, and things can get quite loud with all the shouting and carts rattling on the stones. We don't have a polished sales pitch. If someone asks for advice on a Vastu item, we just tell them what we've learned over the years. It’s a simple life, surrounded by things that mean a lot to people's traditions. We just try to stay organized and make sure we don't run out of the basics. It works for us.
