Shree Ganesh Motors

Our workshop, Shree Ganesh Motors, is located right by the bus stand on the Delhi-Agra Road. Being on such a major road means there is never a quiet moment. We spend our days working on motors of all kinds. Most of the time we are covered in grease and oil, but that is just how it goes when you are fixing engines. My brother and I have been running this place for years now. We have a set of tools that we trust, and we don't feel the need for those expensive new machines. If an engine is making a strange noise, we can usually figure out what is wrong just by listening to it for a minute. The shop floor is made of old concrete and it has seen a lot of traffic. People traveling between Delhi and Agra often stop by if they have a breakdown near the bus stand. We also have plenty of regulars from the local area who bring their bikes in for a check-up. We don't have a fancy waiting room or air conditioning. Most customers just grab a tea from the stall next door while they wait for us to finish. We open up early because that is when the first buses start moving. It is hard work and the days are long, but we like being our own bosses. We don't make big promises, we just fix the vehicles so people can get back on the road.
