You’ll find us at B-75/1 on Street No. 9 in Shalimar Village. It’s not the easiest place to locate if you’re new to the area because the streets all look a bit similar. We are a trading business, so we spend a lot of our time dealing with boxes and shipments. The space we have is more of a warehouse than a store. It’s got high ceilings and concrete floors that stay cold even in the summer. There’s usually a truck or a rickshaw parked outside getting loaded up. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of the time, the overhead lights are dim to save on the bill. We keep track of everything in big notebooks. My father started this business years ago, and I took it over after I finished school. It’s dusty work, and my clothes are usually covered in some kind of grime by the end of the day. We don't have any employees, just family members helping out when the load is heavy. Shalimar Village is a tight-knit place, so we know everyone on the street. We don't have a big mission or anything. We just buy goods and sell them to people who need them. It’s straightforward work. Sometimes we close early if there’s a wedding in the family or if we’re just tired. We don't worry too much about being professional; we just get the job done.
