Shaheen Traders

Shaheen Traders is located at Shop No 27 on Esplanade Road, right in the heart of New Meena Bazaar. If you know anything about Jama Masjid or Chandni Chowk, you know how incredibly crowded it gets. Our shop is quite small, like most of the ones in this area, but we pack it full of whatever we are trading that week. You have to navigate through narrow lanes filled with rickshaws, shoppers, and other traders just to reach our door. The atmosphere is always electric, especially on Fridays when the prayers are held at the mosque and the whole area fills up with people. We spend our days bargaining with suppliers and helping customers who are looking for a good deal. It is a very old-fashioned way of doing business, based on handshakes and knowing your neighbors. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that works when it feels like it and the smell of street food wafting in from the stalls outside. We have been in this spot for a while now, and we know all the other shopkeepers on the row. It is a tough environment because of the heat and the noise, but it is also where all the action is. We do not have any corporate goals or polished brochures. We just open the shutters every morning and try to sell enough to make it worth the long day.
