J. M Electrical Works

J. M Electrical Works is my small shop over at C-569 on the Main 100 Feet Road in Chajjupur, Shahdara. We are right by the Shiv Mandir, which everyone around here knows and uses as a landmark. It’s a busy street with lots of shops and people walking by at all hours. I’ve been doing electrical work from this spot for a long time now. The shop is filled with coils of wire, switches, and various tools I've collected over the years. It looks a bit cluttered to an outsider, but I know exactly where everything is kept on the shelves. Most days involve fixing motors or helping neighbors with their wiring issues when things break down. Sometimes it’s just me working, and sometimes my nephew helps out when there is too much to do. The fan in the ceiling squeaks a bit, but it keeps the air moving in the heat. People stop by to chat as much as they do for actual work. It’s a friendly neighborhood and everyone knows each other. We don’t have a computer system or anything fancy for billing, just a simple paper notebook and a pen. I usually open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. The traffic on the 100 Feet Road is always loud, but you get used to it after a while. It’s just honest work.
