Setia Motors

Setia Motors is located at 816, Choota Bazar, right in the heart of Kashmere Gate. If you know this area, you know it’s always packed and noisy, but that’s where the business happens. We’ve been here for a long time, dealing with motors and parts. It’s a small space, like most shops in Choota Bazar, but we make it work. Every shelf is packed with something or other. We spend most of our time looking up parts or helping customers who come in looking for something specific for their vehicles. It’s not a fancy showroom at all. It’s a place where work gets done. There’s always grease on the hands and a lot of talking over the noise of the traffic outside. We don’t do much in the way of big announcements or shiny posters. People find us because they know we’re here in the market. It’s a lot of repeat faces, which is nice. We just try to be honest about what we have in stock and what we don't. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the congestion in the narrow lanes, but we handle it. Working at Kashmere Gate requires a bit of patience, and we’ve got plenty of that after all these years. It’s a simple operation. We open up in the morning, do our bit with the motors, and head home when the market starts to quiet down. We just keep going, day after day, through the heat and the crowds.
