Okhla Phase 2 is always humming with some kind of activity. There is always a truck backing up or someone loading a crate onto a van. We are located at S-15. SERVEL INDIA PVT. LTD. occupies this space, and it is a solid enough building. Inside, it is mostly just work tables and a lot of storage shelves. We have various electronics and parts lying around everywhere. Most people here are busy working with their hands. It is not the kind of place where you would ever see someone wearing a suit. We wear heavy boots and shirts that we don't mind getting a bit of grease on. The air usually feels heavy with the smell of work and metal. We have been at S-15 for quite some time now. You eventually get used to all the noise from the other units in the area. We have a small corner in the back where we keep the kettle. Having tea is a very important part of the day here. It helps keep us going when we have a lot of orders to fill. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone like that. We just have our work and we try to do it right. Most of our day is spent checking through parts and making sure everything is put together correctly. Servel India is just one part of the Okhla landscape. We see the same delivery guys every week and nod to the neighbors. It is a practical way to live and work in this part of town.
