You can find Seema Creations at RZ/E-251 in Nihal Vihar, over in the Nangloi area. It’s a small place packed with fabrics and sewing machines. We do a lot of garment work here, mostly stuff that people need for their daily wear or small shops. The street outside can get quite narrow and crowded, especially when the vegetable carts are out. Inside, the sound of the stitching machines is pretty much constant from morning till evening. We have piles of thread in every color you can think of. It’s a bit messy with scraps of cloth on the floor, but we clear it out at the end of the day. There are a few of us working here, mostly neighbors from around Nihal Vihar. We don't have a big sign or fancy windows. Most people just know us by word of mouth in the neighborhood. We take measurements, cut the patterns, and get to sewing. Sometimes we stay late if a big order needs to be finished. It’s hard work on the eyes and the back, but we enjoy the process of making something from a plain piece of cloth. We don't do anything too complicated, just honest tailoring work. If you come by, you'll probably see us drinking tea near the front door during our short break. It's just how things go at the workshop. We stay busy with the needles and thread.
