Satya Narain Ram Kishore & Co. is located at Plot No. 1801, Katra Bansi Dhar, in the Khari Baoli area. We are right in the middle of the old market near Naya Bazar and Khari Babli. If you have ever walked through these lanes, you know how intense it can be. The air is always thick with the smell of spices and grain. Our spot in Katra Bansi Dhar is where we have been doing wholesale trade for a very long time. It is a traditional way of doing business. The shop is often filled with sacks of goods and people coming in to negotiate prices. We don't use much technology here beyond the basics. We still use physical ledgers and we do a lot of our business through face-to-face talk and a lot of tea. The building is old and the lanes are so narrow that trucks can't even get through during the day. We have to move everything by hand or on small carts. It is loud and hot, but this is the heart of the trade. We know the other traders in Khari Baoli well. It is a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We just try to keep our quality consistent and our prices fair. It is a tough environment but it is what we have always known. We don't need a fancy office when we have the market right at our doorstep.
