Sar Auto Lamp

If you know New Ranjit Nagar, you know how crowded it gets near the Satyam Multiplex. That’s where we are, at A 380 D. It’s a tight space, but we’ve got it packed with all sorts of lights for cars and bikes. We spend most of our day sorting through boxes of headlamps and indicators. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There are boxes stacked up to the ceiling sometimes. My hands are usually a bit dirty from handling the bulbs and plastic housings. We don't really have a website or a big marketing plan. People just walk in from the street or call us up when their headlight breaks. We see all kinds of vehicles coming through. The traffic outside is always loud, and you can hear the horns from the main road all day long. We keep the shop open late because that’s when people usually realize their lights aren’t working right. It’s not a glamorous job, just selling parts that people need to see the road. We drink a lot of chai during the day. Sometimes we have to hunt through the back to find a specific bulb for an older model car. It takes time. We don't use fancy computers for everything, mostly just notebooks and memory. The neighborhood has changed, but the demand for spare parts never really goes away. We just stay here and keep the shelves stocked as much as we can. It's a simple life for us here.
