We are set up at B. S. 85 in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. If you know that area, you know it’s always full of big trucks and the smell of diesel. It’s a very busy place to be. We handle petroleum products, so there’s a lot of coordinating with drivers and checking tank levels. Our office is pretty basic. We have some wooden chairs, a big desk covered in ledgers, and a calendar on the wall that’s usually a month behind. It’s a lot of grit and hard work. We deal with people who are on the road all the time. The dust from the transport hub gets on everything, so we stopped trying to keep things perfectly clean. It’s more important that the fuel gets where it needs to go. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. You hear the engines idling all day long. We don't do much in the way of fancy business meetings. Most of our work is done over the phone or shouting over the noise of a truck. It’s a rough and tumble environment, but we like it. The local tea shop is where we catch up on all the news from the road. We just keep the records straight and make sure the supply is there for the people who need it. We don't have a dress code or anything fancy. It’s a lot of routine.
