You can find Al-mugni Garments on the first floor of the Aman Hospital Building. The exact spot is No. H-38/15 in Sangam Vihar. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs but it’s not too bad once you're used to it. Being in a building with a hospital means it’s always busy around here. There are people everywhere and the noise from the street never really stops. Inside our shop, we have the sewing machines set up in rows. It gets quite warm in the summer, so we keep the fans going all day. We make all sorts of clothes. Sometimes it’s a big order for shirts and other times it’s something else. The thread and fabric scraps tend to pile up by the end of the shift. We try to sweep up every evening before we lock up. It’s just a group of us working together. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone like that. We just focus on the stitching and making sure the buttons are on right. Sangam Vihar is a crowded place, and our building is no different. You hear the noise from the street all day long. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon to take a break from the noise of the machines. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us. We’ve been at H-38/15 for a bit now and the neighbors are decent people. We just keep our heads down and finish the garments as they come in. It’s honest work and we are glad to have the space. Sometimes the deliveries are late but we manage to catch up before the day ends.
