Explodesign Garments Exports Pvt. Ltd. is located over at Plot No. 6 in the Saidullajab Extension. If you know the Ignou Road area in Saket, you know it gets pretty packed with students and people heading to work. We are tucked away in Khasra No. 24, which is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to these small lanes. Our days are mostly spent around piles of fabric and cardboard boxes. There is always a truck coming or going, which makes the narrow road even tighter. We do a lot of garment work here, mostly for export, so the sewing machines are running for most of the daylight hours. It’s loud, and the tea break at four is the best part of the day for everyone. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a shipment before the deadline. The office is small and filled with samples of different shirts and pants we’ve made over the years. It isn't a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to deal with that right now. Most of our neighbors are also in some kind of trade or small business, so we all know each other. It’s a practical place to work, even if the parking is a total nightmare most mornings.
