Sai Services Centre

Sai Services Centre is up on the 2nd Floor at D-119 in Khanpur Extension. It’s not far from the Khanpur Bus Depot, so there is always the sound of horns and engines idling nearby. You have to walk up the stairs to get to us, and by the time you reach the top, you can hear whatever work we are doing inside. It’s a practical space, not meant for showing off. We have tables pushed against the walls and wires or parts scattered where we are working on them. The windows look out over the busy street, but we don't spend much time looking out. There is always a list of things to get through. It can get a bit stuffy in the afternoons when the sun hits the building, so we keep the fans going at full speed. We don't use any fancy software to track everything; we mostly rely on notebooks and our own memory. It’s a bit cluttered, and sometimes you have to move a chair to find a place to stand. We aren't trying to be the biggest centre in Delhi, just a place that does the work without charging for things you don't need. Most of our day is just hands-on labor, fixing things and making sure the paperwork is sorted out before we head home for the night. We just keep our heads down and stay busy.
