Sahni Car Accessories has its shop at 1047 Tilak Gali. If you have ever been to Kashmere Gate, you know how tight these lanes can be. We have been working out of this small space for years. It is crowded with boxes and parts everywhere you look. Some days you can barely walk through the aisle because we just got a new shipment in. We spend a lot of time just organizing stuff so we can find what a customer needs. Tilak Gali is always full of people looking for something specific for their cars. We see all kinds of people coming through. Some are in a hurry, others want to sit and talk for an hour. We do not mind either way. The building is old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work keeps us busy. It is mostly just about knowing where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific light or a trim piece, we usually know exactly which pile it is buried under. It is not a glamorous job, and it gets really hot in the summer months. We just keep the fan running and keep moving. There is always a lot to do, especially when the morning rush starts. We have seen the market change a lot over the decades, but this little corner stays pretty much the same. We just focus on the task in front of us.
