Sahni Auto Store is over at Plot No-D-76 in the Mayapuri Industrial Area, specifically Phase-2. If you’ve ever been to Mayapuri, you know it’s a lot of grease, metal, and heavy trucks moving around. Our store fits right in with all that. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling packed with engine parts, brake pads, and stuff for various car models. It’s usually a bit of a hunt to find exactly what a customer needs, but we usually know which corner to look in. The floor is stained with oil and there’s always a bit of dust in the air. We talk to a lot of mechanics who come in looking for specific bolts or filters. It’s a busy atmosphere and the phone rings quite a bit with people asking if we have a part in stock. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a counter and a lot of inventory. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a delivery truck is unloading in front of the door. The heat in Mayapuri can be tough in the summer, so we keep a couple of old fans running all day. We’ve been here at D-76 for a long time and have seen the area change a lot. It’s a grit-and-grind kind of place, but we get the job done. We just keep the boxes moving and help whoever walks through the door.
