Sagar Trading Co. is found at 2849, Chowk Niyarian, which is right off G.B. Road. If you know this part of town, you know it is incredibly crowded and always moving. G.B. Road has a reputation for being one of the busiest trading hubs, and being near Chowk Niyarian puts us right in the thick of things. The building we are in is quite old, with high ceilings and narrow doorways that reflect the history of the area. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We have neighbors selling everything from hardware to textiles, and the noise from the street never really stops until very late at night. Our space is filled with inventory and old ledgers. We don't have much room for anything that isn't essential to the daily trade. The smell of old wood and dust is pretty common here. Usually, there are tea delivery guys running back and forth between the shops, and we often grab a cup while looking over the day’s work. It’s not a quiet place to work, but it has a certain energy that keeps everyone moving. Finding parking is almost impossible, so most of us just walk or use rickshaws to get in. The front door has seen better days, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it’s home for the business. We focus on the tasks and don't worry about appearances.
